HYDERABAD: From dance and drama to music and painting, pottery to ballet --- the National Cultural Festival had it all. It surely has been able to deliver what it had promised. The activities at the festival went on with active participation from the participants and the teachers. All the participants were divided into seven batches based on the art form they specialise in. Various workshops in every stream were conducted and did serve the main purpose of the festival, to promote art forms and culture.The workshops included a vocal music workshop by guru Lalitha B, where she taught types of voice modulations. Apart from vocal, an instrumental music composition was conducted by guru Shri Ashok Gurjala on the theme of “Thama Soma Jyothirgamaya”.  A nice blend of dance, theatre, acting and music were seen in the dance drama workshop conducted by guru Dr Aruna Bhikshu and also a classical dance ballet workshop by guru Dr. Alekhya Punjala of “Ekta Awaz”  Talking about the field of visual arts, Nirmal painting workshop was held by guru Sri Rajendra kumar, where he taught techniques on Nirmal painting and features and Kalamkari painting sessions were held by guru Sri K. Ram Prasad Reddy, where techniques in Kalamkari like mixing of colours, soaking the cloth in the right way and other innovative techniques were taught.  A Pottery workshop was also conducted by guru Sri D Nageshwar.  The evening concluded with an interaction with guru Deepika Reddy on Kuchipudi dance, after which solo performances in Kuchipudi were exhibited by a few participants.
