Film prints ordered to be attached

CHENNAI: The negatives and prints of Tamil feature film ‘Mayakkam Yenna’, starring Danush, were ordered to be attached by a Master’s Court in the Madras High Court on December 7. Passing orders on an execution petition filed by Sheila Cine Arts of Saligramam, the Master directed the Nazir attached to the HC to attach the movable properties, such as negatives and prints of the film processed by the Gemini Pictures Circuits Private Lt in West KK Nagar. Originally, Sheila Cine Ats, by its partner Sheela Sivagnanam, filed a civil suit and the HC, on May 5 this year, directed the Gemini Pictures to pay Rs 70.46 lakh to the plaintiff by November 21 last. As the amount was not paid, Sheila Cine Arts filed the petition.
