HINDUPUR: The probe into the Penukonda accident, which occurred on Tuesday, is being expedited, covering all aspects, stated Guntakal railway SP, Munaswamy. Speaking to mediapersons, after a review meeting with railway personnel, at Penukonda, he said that there were 3 motorcycles in the parcel van, behind the engine, but it is still to be ascertained, whether they was petrol in them or not. The officials are examining  the vital aspect of the signal system at the railway station, to find out, whether the train driver or the station master was at fault.Stating that the railways had taken action against some of the employees, he said railway DSP Harinath Reddy has been deputed as special investigation officer, to gather more facts regarding the mishap.Anyone who has witnessed the accident should and give their version of the mishap, to the railway safety commissioner, at the office of DRM, Bangalore, he said.Ex-gratia Given Meanwhile, Bangalore railway divisional office handed over the exgratia amount to the family of Tagore Naik on Thursday.  Tagore Naid had died in the Penugonda railway accident.  Divisional railway welfare officer Vinod went to Puligatlavari tanda and handed over the cheque of Rs 4.85 lakh to Saroja Bai, wife of Tagore Naik, along with a letter assuring a job to one of the family members.
