THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: If everything goes as per the schedule of the PWD, the five roads being renovated under the City Road Improvement Project (CRIP) of the Kerala Road Fund Board will be completed within three months. LMS-Pazhavangadi, Kowdiar- Peroorkada, Nandavanam- Model High School, Kumarapuram- KIMS- NH bypass and Enchakkal- Attakulangara stretches will be completed within 100 days, said Works Minister V K Ibrahim Kunju at a news meet here on Thursday.Work on all these roads is in progress, but rains have caused delay in many places. Sources in the PWD said that there will be an effective monitoring of the work now as they have been included in the action plan. Another major city-related project that has found a place in the 100-day ‘To-Do’ list of the PWD is the Karamana-Kaliyikkavila road. The list promises speedy action to acquire land for increasing the width of this stretch. The completion of Vettamukku-Vattiyoorkavu- Nettayam road is another promise. The MBA block in Engineering College, T’Puram, will also be opened within 100 days. The proposal to elevate the Kerala Highway Research Institute as a Centre of Excellence is also part of Ibrahim Kunju’s action plan.
