Panaji: Director and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra's film 'Khamosh' which was released in 1985, still holds a great significance in his life.
On Day 3 of Film Bazaar, during an important session 'Master Class with Vidhu Vinod Chopra: a dialogue between Filmmakers', he stated that he if he ever made 'Khamosh' again, it would be done in the way he had worked for the original film.
"Banaunga toh waise hi. But now, I will have the required money to release the film. I will make it the way I had done it originally. Mujhe ek print leke, hoarding leke nahi karna padega. Jo meri brand equity hai uss sey madad hogi. The only difference now if I make 'Khamosh' again will be the availability of facilities, the name and the brand to show my cinema. My film 'Broken Horses' is a lot like 'Khamosh' because it features no stars. We worked extremely hard while making the film. Kuch filmmakers ko woh achchi lagi. Kuck ko dikhayengey. ," he said.
Produced by Mandville Films, Vidhu's Broken Horses features Vincent D'Onofrio, Christopher Marquette, Anton Yelchin, Thomas Jane, Sean Patrick Flannery and Maria Valverde.
