BANGALORE: Confident that the State Government will respond to Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike’s plea for more funds, Commissioner Siddaiah said that the Palike expects a positive response from the chief minister’s office, before the release of the budget on August 18.BBMP had sent a delegation to the meet chief minister asking for more funds to meet the Palike’s debt burden. In a series of meetings, Palike presented its case in front of the chief minister. Following the meeting, the chief minister had said that he would consult senior officers and decide on whether to extend the funds. Awaiting a response from the government, the budget has already been delayed. “We will present the budget on August 18 without fail. I am sure government will respond positively to our requests,” Siddaiah said.
