Action plan for hygiene awareness

KOCHI: The problem of waste treatment that has been plaguing the city for a long time would be tackled at the earliest with the help of people's participation, district panchayat president Eldos Kunnappalli has said.He was inaugurating a workshop on decentralised solid waste treatment, held for the district panchayat members, at Cherai on Wednesday. "The panchayat will introduce a culture wherein people will be made conscious of hygiene and waste treatment. A trilevel meeting of division members will be held next month to formulate an action plan in this regard," he said.
