New Delhi: Out of the five films Sonakshi Sinha has done as the lead, only 'Joker' met with a bad fate at the box-office. There is no stopping for Sonakshi as she has mega budget multi-starrer ventures lined up for release in coming months. Going by the brand value of her co-stars and production houses involved in these films, it wouldn't be very unrealistic to assume that Sonakshi might emerge as the most sought after Bollywood actress by the end of 2014. We have compiled a list of five forthcoming films that can consolidate Sonakshi Sinha's enviable position in the Hindi film industry.
Lootera: Vikramaditya Motwane's film is in the news since the release of its first look. It appears high on emotional content and is likely to present Sonakshi and Ranveer in completely new avatars. Set in the backdrop of 1950s Bengal, 'Lootera' promises mesmerising visuals and fascinating background score, so it seems the film has already won half the battle. The audience will give the ultimate verdict but Sonakshi has impressed in the pre-release session.
Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara: Sinha plays Jasmine Mirza, an innocent starlet, trapped in between two intense lovers in Milan Luthria's project. Her co-stars are Akshay Kumar, one of the superstars of contemporary Bollywood, and Imran Khan, who many believe to be the next big thing of the Hindi film industry. Milan Luthria's credibility as a director is on all time high after the super success of 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai' and 'The Dirty Picture', so the film is unlikely to fizzle out early at the ticket window.
Bullet Raja: Slowly and steadily Tigmanshu Dhulia has built a name for giving gritty thrillers. Saif Ali Khan will play the lead role in this UP based mafia story but he is not the only attraction of the film as Jimmy Shergill and Vidyut Jammwal are also playing pivotal characters in 'Bullet Raja'. The shooting for the film is currently in full swing and it is expected to go public on September 6, 2013.
Rambo Rajkumar: Who doesn't want to work with Prabhu Deva after 'Wanted' and 'Rowdy Rathore'? It's true that the hero of the film, Shahid Kapoor, is not in top form these days but he can always bounce back. Sonakshi Sinha brings another advantage to the film as she is acceptable with actors of any age group. Be it Shahid or Salman, she easily gets into the mould of the heroine needed by the director.
Pistol: Well, most of Sonakshi's films have catchy names. This one is directed by AR Murugadoss of 'Ghajini' fame, in which she is once again acting opposite Akshay Kumar, however Akshay will not be the only person responsible for daredevil action sequences, Vidyut Jammwal is the second lead in 'Pistol'.
With competent directors and hit co-stars, Sonakshi looks all set to hit the jackpot.
