Go to https://www.reddit.com in a web browser. You can use any web browser on your computer to access Reddit. If you're not signed in to Reddit, type your username and password into the blanks, then click Login.
Navigate to the post on which you want to vote. You can use the search box near the top-right corner of the screen to find it by keyword. You'll see two arrows next to each post's title—one pointing up, and one pointing down. If you want to vote on a comment instead of a post, click the comments link (e.g. 76 comments) beneath the post to open the Comments page, then scroll to the comment. The number between the arrows is the post's submission score, which is the amount of upvotes minus the amount of downvotes.
Click the upward-pointing arrow to upvote. Upvoting a post or comment means you think it is valuable to the conversation.
Click the downward-pointing arrow to downvote. This is a negative vote. Reddit recommends you only downvote posts or comments that are off-topic or don't contribute to the conversation.
