With Ram Temple in Ayodhya set for inauguration next year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said January 22 will be the most important day in the lives of all Indians. “This is not just about my happiness, but it is a happy occasion for 140 crore Indians and their peace,” said the PM in an interview to news publication Dainik Jagran.

He also touched upon the topic of entrepreneurship, and said one should focus on individuality and patience. “Sometimes a sector becomes successful, but those who worked hard don’t get the praise. Later, those individuals are recognised as ‘new’ but in reality they have been working hard all this while (to show their merit)”.

The consecration ceremony at Ram Temple in Ayodhya, scheduled for January 22, will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath along with hundreds of dignitaries.

The idol of Ram Lalla will be placed in the sanctum sanctorum of the newly built Ram temple in the consecration ceremony, and thereafter it will be opened for public.

At least 3,000 candidates have applied for posts of priests at the Ram temple after the Ram Mandir Teerth Kshetra Trust advertised vacancies. Of these, 200 candidates were selected for interviews on the basis of merit.

The Maryada Purshottam Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya is also all set for its launch. While the first inaugural flight will take-off from the Ram temple-themed airport on December 30, regular flights will start from January 6.

Meanwhile, PM Modi will be arriving on a two-day visit in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on Sunday during which he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 37 projects valued worth over Rs 19,000 crore for the development of the Varanasi and the Purvanchal region. He will reach Varanasi Sunday afternoon, and will be welcomed by Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, after which he will spend about 25 hours in Varanasi, an official statement said.
