Rakhi Sawant’s former husband Adil Khan Durrani has made yet another shocking claim against the actress. In an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, Adil has alleged that Rakhi is still married to her first husband, Ritesh Raj Singh. Adil has accused Rakhi of spreading lies, stating that “they are very much together and were only creating a drama.”
“They are still husband and wife,” Adil told us. Adil further claimed that even when he was married to Rakhi, she hid her relationship with Ritesh and used to meet him in Dubai.
“Rakhi never spoke about Ritesh to me. She was hiding that relationship. She used to meet him in Dubai. When I got to know about it, that’s when we parted ways. That’s why I was also sent to jail,” he said.
For the unversed, prior to Adil Khan Durrani, Rakhi was married to Ritesh. The two participated in Bigg Boss 15 but parted ways soon after the show ended in February 2022. Announcing their separation, Rakhi had said at the time, “Dear fans and well-wishers, just wanted to say that Ritesh and I have decided to part ways. After the Bigg Boss show a lot happened and I was unaware of certain things which were out of my control. We have tried to work out our differences and tried to make things work but I think it’s best we both move on amicably and we both enjoy our lives separately.”
However, when Rakhi and Ritesh were spotted together earlier this year, News18 Showsha had reached out to the actress to check if they patched up. However, Rakhi dismissed all such claims.
Meanwhile, Rakhi is also involved in a legal battle with Adil Khan Durrani. The two were previously married but parted ways last year after the Bigg Boss fame levelled several allegations against him and accused him of being involved in extramarital affairs. Adil was then picked up from Rakhi’s residence and arrested on February 7, 2023. He was released after spending five months in jail.
Adil has now accused Rakhi of leaking his private videos. Rakhi Sawant has been booked for offences under Sections 500, 504 and 34, pertaining to defamation and complicity in criminal intent respectively of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with Section 67(A) of the Information and Technology Act (IT Act) for electronically disseminating sexually explicit videos involving Adil.
