The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the results of the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) conducted in December 2023. After the provisional answer key was made available on January 3, candidates had the opportunity to raise objections until January 5. The final answer key and the subsequent results are anticipated to be published soon on the official website of UGC NET – https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/.

The nationwide UGC NET exam covered 83 subjects, attracting a total of 9,45,918 candidates vying for eligibility for Assistant Professor positions. The December examination spanned from December 6 to 19, taking place in 292 cities across the country. Media reports suggest that the results are expected to be declared in January.

On the homepage, locate and click on “UGC NET December Result.”

Enter your registration number and date of birth.

Click on submit.

The result will be displayed on your screen.

Candidates are advised to carefully review their name, roll number, and marks in the result. The final answer key and results will be released after considering all objections raised against the provisional answer key. Subject experts will assess the challenges made by candidates, and based on the revised final answer key, the results will be prepared and declared. Candidates will not receive individual notifications regarding the acceptance or non-acceptance of their challenges.

The UGC NET is a crucial examination for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the positions of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship in universities and colleges across India. Conducted twice a year, the first session for June saw its results declared on July 25. In June 2023, a total of 6,39,069 candidates appeared for the examination, which was conducted by the NTA from June 13 to June 22.
