‘Don’t Let the Dancing Stop’: Yet to get Over IPL Win, Shah Rukh Khan Pens Emotional Note for His ‘Star’ Players
Days after lifting the trophy for the third time, the Bollywood Superstar has shared a heartfelt note on social media, shedding light on the unity in the KKR squad.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) showcased a tremendous team effort to secure their third Indian Premier League (IPL) title last Sunday. The Shreyas Iyer-led side crushed a high-flying Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the final of the franchise competition at Chepuak. After the victory was sealed, the members of the KKR, including co-owner Shah Rukh Khan, broke into an emphatic celebration at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Days after lifting the trophy for the third time, the Bollywood Superstar has shared a heartfelt note on social media, shedding light on the unity in the KKR squad.

In a long post on X (formerly Twitter), Shah Rukh mentioned almost every individual who had been with the team throughout the season. He especially highlighted the influence of Gautam Gambhir, a former KKR captain who reunited with the team ahead of the 2024 IPL as a mentor. SRK also extended his gratitude to the other members of the coaching staff and captain Shreyas Iyer, underlining their passion and dedication.

“To my boys…. my team…. my champs….”these blessed candles of the night” …. My Stars…of KKR. I cannot do a lot of things and you cannot do them all either…but together we manage most of them. That’s what Kolkata Knight Riders stood for. Simply being together. Beyond the ability and guidance of Gautam Gambhir…the earnestness of Chandu, the love of Abhishek Nayar & the leadership of Shreyas Iyer… the dedication of Ryan ten Doeschate, Bharat Arun, Carl Cowe and Nathan Leamon,” SRK wrote in the X post.

“This team is built on no hierarchy just pure respect for collaboration. Gautam Gambhir said if u can’t support a single vision as a team….u are leading to a division in the team. Each player understood that. Young and old. The Trophy is not a testament of having the best players in the team….but a proof of each player being the best for the team,

“Boys you are all made of Star stuff!! Love you all and don’t let the dancing stop! Also, so happy and thankful for each and every KKR fan and I hope all around the world youngsters learn that Tough times don’t last….Finally Tough and Happy teams do! Korbo…Lorbo…Jeetbo….Always. See u all at the stadia in 2025,” he concluded.

Earlier on the night of the IPL final, Shah Rukh Khan attended a dressing-room award ceremony with the KKR players. On that occasion, the veteran actor was felicitated by the team and delivered a speech, thanking all of them. “Wherever we go ahead from here onwards, I wish you the best. And, I know, I speak on behalf of Jay, Juhi, Jahnavi, Suhana, Pooja, all of us, who love you so much that you make us very emotional. And, we wish we had this team for the rest of our lives. And you kept on listening to my speeches and playing like this,” SRK was heard saying in a video posted by KKR on X.

After KKR beat SRH in Qualifier 1, Shah Rukh Khan reportedly suffered a heat stroke and had to be hospitalised in Ahmedabad. Despite having health issues, SRK along with his family made sure to attend the final game in Chennai and cheered for his team throughout the match.
