Mumbai: The rupee on Tuesday spurted by 31 paise to close at 67.90/91 against the US dollar compared to previous close of 68.21 per dollar.
The pound sterling also finished lower at Rs 86.60/62 at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market on Tuesday.
