Renault India have launched the Lodgy Stepway Edition range in India, with prices starting from Rs 9.43 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This edition will have plenty of enhancements to the bodywork of the MPV. It was initially available on the range-topping variant of the Lodgy.
Renault have made Stepway edition available all variants.
Lodgy Stepway range will have 16 new enhancements to the exterior and interiors. Speaking of exteriors, the Stepway edition will have new jewel-studded front grille, brushed aluminium finished skid plate, fog lamp bezels, Stepway decals, lower black plastic cladding, dark metal finish roof rails and arrowhead styled tail lamps. It will also have 16-inch gunmetal finished alloy wheels.
Stepway cabin will have new brown and beige leather upholstery with diamond stitching and a two-tone dashboard with a piano black finished centre console. It will have a touchscreen infotainment system same as the Duster, steering mounted phone and audio controls, 12 volt charging sockets for all three rows along with flight trays, bottle holders and a sunglasses holder.
The MPV is available in 7 or 8-seater options with the second third row being foldable and have 60:40 split option.
Renault Lody Stepway range will be powered by the same 1.5-litre diesel engine, with two versions - one that produces 83bhp that comes paired to a 5-speed manual transmission and a 108bhp version that comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The Lodgy also comes with cruise control, ABS with EBD, and brake assist, dual front airbags on the higher variants.
Facing competition from Toyota Innova Crysta and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, the Lodgy has not been as successful as Renault expected it to be, with only 400 units being sold in the past six months.
Clubbed with other year-end offers, with benefits upto Rs 1 lakh on all models, the Stepway edition may help Renault with the sales.
