Khalistani Operative Kamal Singh Soorma Apprehended In US With Massive Drug Haul
Video surfaces of US police capturing alleged Khalistani operative Kamal Singh Soorma smuggling drugs worth $1.5 million provided by ISI

Khalistani operative Kamal Singh Soorma was caught red-handed by US police with a large cache of drugs this week. A video capturing the arrest of an alleged Khalistani operative in the United States has come into the public domain.

Kamal Singh was apprehended while attempting to smuggle a staggering 50 kilograms of cocaine worth $1.5 million. Sources told CNN-News18 that this cocaine trail is connected to the ISI and Pakistan’s intelligence agency’s funding of anti-India activities. So far, no official confirmation of his arrest has come to light yet.

The video, which surfaced on various social media platforms also shows the dramatic moment when law enforcement officers intercepted the alleged Khalistani operative and seized the illicit consignment. In a desperate attempt to evade capture, the man is seen feigning unconsciousness not once but twice.

Soorma’s arrest comes amid growing Khalistan activities in the US and Canada. Khalistani separatists attacked the Indian consulate in San Francisco last year and on several occasions targeted members of the Indian diplomatic community and members of the Indian diaspora.

Earlier this month, US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti told CNN-News18 that the US takes threats against Indian diplomats seriously. “The seriousness with which we take any threats against Indian diplomats (and) the work that we’re doing… makes sure that people are held accountable for any criminal acts that happened in the United States,” Garcetti said.

“Our law enforcement has never worked more closely together. We take very seriously any threats or acts that are criminal against either Indian diplomats or Indian diplomatic facilities. And I can assure you that we have gone very deep in coordinating that investigation and holding people accountable,” Garcetti further added.
