Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance has sparked controversy by comparing Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein during an appearance on Fox News.

Donald Trump’s running mate made these remarks while slamming Harris’s approach to inflation policy, stating, “Giving Kamala Harris control over inflation policy is like giving Jeffrey Epstein control over human trafficking policy. The American people are much smarter than that.”

Vance’s comments came as he expressed frustration over recent polling data showing Harris leading former US President Trump by four points in a national survey. He claimed that Harris’s policies represent a continuation of failed Democratic strategies, arguing that voters will reject her in the upcoming November election.
