Woman Asks People To Throw Mamaearth Products In Dustbin, Co-founder Ghazal Alagh Reacts
"If you see these products anywhere, immediately pick them up, throw them in the dustbin, and run away," wrote the woman.

Ever since its launch in 2026, skincare and haircare brand Mamaearth has gained much popularity. However, like most brands, it also has generated criticism over the quality of its products. On Sunday, a woman shared a photo of a few Mamaearth products and wrote, “If you see these products anywhere, immediately pick them up, throw them in the dustbin, and run away.”

Her post soon went viral with over 4 million views. In the comments, many people agreed with this criticism and argued that the Mamaearth products are of low quality.

Many people alleged that the brand gained popularity via paid promotions by influencers. Making this claim, an X user wrote, “Mama Earth is the best example for every consumer to realise how these YouTubers don’t actually care for you. Promoting mama Earth on your channel is the definition of selling your soul for money. I’d go as far to say it’s worse than promoting gambling apps!”

Another person wrote, “I won’t diss them so much but Mamaearth is a perfect example of riding the influencer wave early and killing it despite having a not so genuine product. PS – they bought a brand called Dr Sheth recently and their products are genuinely good!”

Calling out the brand for harming their skin, another person wrote, “I am so glad someone said it. This brand has one of the worst products in the market. Their Ubtan face wash made my skin dry, flaky, and scaly. Absolutely hate this brand.”

Ghazal Alagh, the co-founder and “Chief Mama” of Mamaearth reacted to the above-mentioned post and wrote, “Just sorry you woke up with a lot of hate. I hope you feel better soon. I would have loved to address if there was a problem. But I couldn’t find any apart from you hopping onto a Twitter trend and finding a picture of the products. Quality on Mamaearth is my personal guarantee, and I am here to address each and every concern that you or anyone on Twitter might have. I am DM away and if any of my consumers have feedback or issues with any mamaearth product, I will get back to them.”

The woman quickly responded, “Hey Ghazal, I’m glad that you finally woke up too. How is sharing honest feedback hateful? As I said, you guys can’t handle honest reviews. You are being defensive here, but I’m glad that you are ready to address the issue.”

She added, “I have already shared my concerns and issues about the products. And I hope now you will listen to the concerns and problems of others like me and try to fix them.”
