Taufiq Lida sang the Bollywood hit song from the 2000 released film Mohabbatein in both male and female voices.

A video of a man from Indonesia singing a Bollywood song is raking in likes. Taufiq Lida, who is a wedding MC and singer, recently shared a video of him singing the Bollywood hit Humko Humise Chura Lo from the 2000 released film Mohabbatein. What sets him apart is his seamless transition into a feminine voice during the female verses of the song. His ability to mimic both Udit Narayan’s and Lata Mangeshkar’s parts showcases his talent in mastering both male and female vocals of the track.

What makes this clip even more interesting is that just as he moves to the female verse, picturised on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, a woman crosses him. He pauses and sings to the woman before she moves away. This prompted many people to joke that “Aishwarya” made a timely entry during the performance. Taufiq Lida shared this amusing clip on Instagram where it got over 1 lakh likes.

Interestingly, even though this video was taken in Indonesia, it reached many Indians who took to the comments section to praise the singer. An Instagram user wrote, “What a timing of Aishwarya’s entry.” Someone else wrote, “Aapki voice achi hai bhai (Your voice is very good, brother).” An Instagram user pointed to his popularity in India and wrote, “You are very famous in India. Your voice is so good!”

Back in April, another video of Taufiq Lida singing a Bollywood song raked in likes. The clip showed him singing Pyar Dilon Ka Mela Hai from the 2000 film Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge. The original song was sung by Alka Yagnik and Sonu Nigam. In the clip, Taufiq Lida shows his voice modulation skills as he moves from a highly feminine voice to a robust male voice. He does all this without missing a beat.

This video got over 66,000 comments. One of the most popular comments on this clip said, “Make him famous.” Another comment read, “Brother, leave Indonesia and come to India.” Judging by the encouraging comments, it looks like many people are rooting for Taufiq Lida to get recognised for his unique talent on a larger scale. So far Taufiq Lida has over 54,000 Instagram followers.
