Man posts pic to compare Mumbai traffic with that on Mount Everest, viral post leaves internet divided.

Traffic snarls in bustling metropolises like Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Delhi are old news, but ever caught wind of a traffic jam on Mount Everest? While this narrative doesn’t surface frequently, a recent snapshot depicting eager individuals forming queues to conquer the 29,029-foot summit made waves across the internet, setting the internet abuzz with discussions.

The photo, posted by user @NGKabra, depicted climbers patiently queuing up to conquer Earth’s highest peak, all while facing the dangers of the notorious ‘death zone.’ Expressing frustration, the original poster commented, “Stop whining about the traffic jam on Mumbai-Pune Expressway. Even Mount Everest has multi-hour traffic jams. The problem is that people want to do the same damn thing that everyone else does and on the same damn day.”

The post quickly seized the spotlight, prompting a lively debate. Some rallied behind the acknowledgment of risks, while others scoffed at the notion of comparing a mountain peak to a bustling city.

“Wow. It’s not just Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi that experiences traffic jams. Even Mount Everest does,” exclaimed one user. Another pondered a solution, suggesting, “That’s so true. We need to then ask how do we make them do different things spread across different days in a way they are non-intersecting with what others are doing?”

Meanwhile, another faction of the public dismissed the comparison, with one asserting, “I don’t think you understand the problem. The traffic on the expressway is not exactly seasonal. It’s an evergreen issue. Sure it starts coming in the news during holiday rush but I think it’s a known fact. That the existing infra will not sustain much longer.” Another chimed in, “Except the trekking on the Mount Everest happens only for a very brief period during the year.”

A third voice added perspective, “I remember reading that ‘traffic jam’ on Mt Everest is not as much a regular phenomenon as it is made it out to be. It has happened on rare occasions, but of course such events get more amplified.”

And so, yet another day unfolds, bringing forth another ‘jam’ that sets people buzzing!
