This Woman’s Mehndi Makeup Attempt Is Trending For All The Wrong Reasons
In the video, a woman smears her eyelids with Mehndi (Henna). She continues by applying it to her eyebrows and lips. She even adds little spots on each of her cheeks, maybe to give the appearance of freckles.

A quick Instagram search with the hashtag makeup tutorial yields over 53 million results for you to browse. It’s unlikely that a day goes by on social media platforms without a new makeup trend emerging. One day it’s dark-lip nude eyes, the next day the opposite. At times, Korean beauty techniques take centre stage, while on other days, Italian girls’ makeup looks great. With these never-ending trends, some saviours come forward with hacks to perfect these looks. However, not every video is a hit and ends up on the rejection list. That is precisely what transpired with the most recent Mehndi makeup hack.

The video, which was posted on Instagram, opens with a woman smearing her eyelids with Mehndi (Henna). She continues by applying it to her eyebrows and lips. She even adds little spots on each of her cheeks, maybe to give the appearance of freckles.

She uses a piece of cloth to remove the Mehndi after it dries. Instead of getting the semi-permanent makeup appearance she was going for, she looked like someone set a kid free with a cone of Mehndi and said, ‘Have at it!’

Of course, the internet was dissatisfied, too. The video received more than 1 million views on the social media platform. The comments section was on a roll, with laughter growing with each new comment.

A user wrote, “Iss se acha toh make-up hi naa karti” (It was best to not apply make-up at all).

Another user said, “Abhi bhi time hai behen, karde delete” (Sister, you still have time. Take this down).

Yet another user remarked, “Ye toh mujhse bhi zyada delulu hai” (She is far more delusional than I).

“Hatho par kya lagana hai? Blush?” (What should we apply on our hands then? Blush?), said another user.

Makeup is meant to accentuate your natural attractiveness, not to completely alter your look. A video that went viral earlier showed a child who was unable to identify his mother after she had dressed up for an occasion. The mother is seen making a lot of effort to persuade her kid that she is, in fact, his mother. The mother continued to laugh and repeat, “Mein hi mummy hu (I am your mother),” but the child refused to accept that and attempted to get away from her.

As the video goes on, a second woman tries to explain the same thing to the child. She hugs her kid and tries to get him to agree, but he refuses.

What's your reaction?
