The best part? You will get a plateful of these seven unique panipuris just at Rs 20.

The internet is a treasure trove of culinary creativity, where food experiments can sometimes seem like a journey into the multiverse of madness. One such intriguing culinary concoction has surfaced, and this time it involves a beloved favourite – Pani Puri. In the streets of Ahmednagar, Gujarat, a street vendor has offered a unique twist to the classic Pani Puri. Through a video posted on Instagram, we are introduced to her creation – rainbow panipuris, each boasting vibrant shades of violet, red and yellow. What makes these colourful delights even more fascinating is the claim that they are made from Indian blackberries, beetroot and haldi, each contributing its distinct flavour profile.

In the video, the vendor declares that her rainbow panipuris are free from artificial colouring. Instead, she uses purees of spinach and mint to create the vibrant waters that fill these rainbow panipuris. If you’re in Ahmedabad and craving a taste of the rainbow, you can find her stall at New Ranip, Sardar Chowk, every Saturday and Sunday from 4 to 8 pm. And the best part? A plateful of seven of these unique panipuris will set you back just Rs 20.

The video of the rainbow panipuris has caused quite a stir on social media, amassing over 6 million views. As expected, opinions in the comments section were divided.

One user expressed contentment with the simplicity of traditional pani puri, while another praised the unique idea, calling it “wow.”

“Will surely try this,” said another user.

Yet another user said, “Looks unhealthy.”

Not all pani puri experiments end in disappointment. Earlier, an Instagram user shared a unique recipe that deviates from the traditional wheat flour or semolina puris, opting instead for rice paper to create crispy puris.

The video demonstrates the process: the food blogger tears open a packet of rice paper and submerges two large rice papers in water. Afterwards, she places the soaked rice paper on a board and cuts it into circles using a small bowl. Once the puri shapes are prepared, she air-fries them until they become crispy. The blogger then punctures a hole in the puri, fills it with mashed aloo, dips it in specially prepared spiced water, and gives it a try.

The innovative concept of reinventing the panipuri sparked significant online interest, eliciting a variety of reactions that applauded the food blogger for her creativity.
