Just when we think that social media platforms are no longer capable of surprising us with extraordinary content, another video pops up to prove us wrong. This time, a video making the rounds on the internet has divided the online community. Bananas are an essential fruit that is full of nutrients, but they do not always ripen. It is seen that ripe bananas can be found in the market every day. In such a situation, the fear that the bananas might be laced with chemicals is not entirely unreasonable. In a viral video, an elderly woman has shared how raw bananas can be ripened well in just two days and the taste also remains completely natural.

In this video shared on Instagram, it was said that bananas can be ripened very well without any chemicals. Bananas take time to ripen on the tree. It takes 100-120 days from the time the banana plant sprouts to the time it is fully ripe and the plant is harvested. At the same time, ripe bananas do not have a long shelf life. A raw banana, on the other hand, can be kept for weeks.

An elderly South Indian woman says that first she had to dig a hole in the ground to bury the raw bananas and then she had to keep the bananas in it. After that, some dry banana leaves were planted around the pit. Then when smoke was generated, some coals were kept, and the remaining part of the pit was covered well up to the top. After putting soil on it, it was left for two days.

The bananas that come out after this are completely ripe and can be eaten and used in the way we normally use ripe bananas. An elderly woman is also seen eating these bananas in the video. This method of ripening bananas can also be used commercially.
