In a recent unsettling incident in Nagaland, a woman was confronted with a horrifying discovery when she eagerly unpacked her takeout fish curry from a nearby restaurant. To her dismay, as she lifted the lid of the container, she was met with the ghastly sight of live maggots wriggling atop the curry, akin to what one might mistake for delectable garnishes. Faced with repulsion, she promptly captured the scene on video, a recording that swiftly gained traction across various platforms.

As reported by HornbillTV, a Nagaland-based news outlet, the woman had ordered the dish from Choudhary Hotel, situated in the village of Pherima. It was only upon later inspection that she uncovered the presence of maggots in her meal. Maggots, as many may know, represent the larval stage of flies, typically breeding in decomposing organic matter, and can manifest in diverse sizes and colours depending on the fly species.
