Human beings and animals share a special bond. Human-animal relationships can elicit positive emotions for each other. There have been several instances where people have found solace with their pet animals. A similar incident has been making rounds on the internet, where a man named Joie Henney from Pennsylvania, USA, has been on the lookout for his missing alligator, who had helped him relieve his depression for nearly a decade. The man has revealed that he has been searching for the reptile for many days after it went missing during a vacation to the coast of Georgia. Joie is quite popular on social media, as he has always shared pictures and videos of his alligator.

Joie Henney is often seen sharing pictures while petting his alligator, Wally. Recently, Joie was distraught after his alligator Wally vanished while they both went on vacation in Brunswick, Georgia, a port city to the south of Savannah. While talking to AP, he said that he suspects someone stole his alligator from the outdoor enclosure where he had kept him at night. He later revealed that someone would have kept the alligator outside a residence, and the owner would have called the authorities and released Wally in the wild.

On the social media platform TikTok, Joie shared a video of him in tears where he was seen talking about the incident. In the clip, he said, “We need all the help we can get to bring my baby back. Please, we need your help.”

Joie gives a lot of importance to Wally in his life, as he rescued him in Florida in 2015 when he was just 14 months old. Joie revealed that Wally has been a saviour for him, as in 2019, the alligator helped Joie fight depression as many of his close friends had died. He added that a doctor treating his depression had endorsed Wally’s status as his emotional support animal.

It has been found that no one has filed a report for Wally’s missing, as it is illegal in Georgia for people to keep alligators without a special license or permit.
