Paris Olympics 2024 is making all the right noises. From Ireland’s gold rush to USA’s Bobby Finke setting a new world record, the sports carnival is keeping fans glued to their screens. Not just that, our favourite athletes are also making it a point to nail the fashion trends and how. From super cool hairdos to nail arts, athletes have amped up the mood in Paris. So much so that the official Instagram page of the Olympics has shared an album putting the spotlight on the trend. “Style showdown at the Stade de France! These queens brought the ‘heat’ to their heats. Here are the fiercest looks we spotted from the sidelines. Make sure to tune in tonight to watch these powerhouses dominate the track,” read the caption of the post.

The album featured some of the prominent sports personalities like Team USA’s track and field athlete Sha’Carri Richardson, Jamaican Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and many more. The first slide highlighted Richardson who made her Olympics debut in Paris. Her nail extension has hit the ball out of the park. It featured the shades of the US flag with crystals and studs on it. It won’t be wrong to say that she reminded fans of former American track and field athlete Florence Griffith Joyner. FYI: Richardson, one of the favourites, won a silver medal at the 100 metres.
Next, we have Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. Her hair colour resembled the Jamaican flag. Despite drawing attention because of her hairstyle, the double champion missed her Olympic 100m semi-final due to an injury.
Australian runner Bree Masters, who became the first Australian to qualify for the 100m semi-finals since the Sydney Olympics held in 2000, painted her nails yellow to show her love and admiration for her country.
The last one on the list was American sprinter Twanisha Terry. Her box braids pulled into two ponytails looked cool. As for her on-field activities, Terry has registered a first-place finish in her heat.
Reacting to the out-of-the-box album shared on Instagram, a user said, “I heard that there is a hair and nail salon in the Olympic Village. Props to the artists, they did a great job on the details. Love to see the unique ways athletes add their own personal touches to their uniforms.”
“Love this! Girlie being girlie. I do powerlifting and my nails match our gym logo,” a comment read.
