'Completely Biased': Woman's Post Comparing Quality Of Life In India vs USA Sparks Debate
In India, she appreciated the convenience of quick food and grocery deliveries.

Living in India versus the United States offers distinct advantages, as a woman recently shared her insights on this topic. Expressing her views on X, she compared her experiences and highlighted the benefits of both countries. In India, she appreciated the convenience of quick food and grocery deliveries, along with affordable house help, which simplified daily life. However, after spending eleven days in the US, she recognised the importance of clean air, reliable electricity, easy access to water, green spaces, and well-maintained roads, which she believes contribute to a high quality of life. She acknowledged that her post might trigger some people, and it indeed received a range of mixed reactions.

She wrote, “Here’s a thought. It might trigger some of you. I’ve always felt how luxurious life in India can be with, quick food deliveries, 10 min grocery delivery and affordable household help. I literally survive on grocery deliveries lol. But REAL quality of life is actually stuff that’s super basic. It’s clean air, ongoing electricity, availability of water, plenty of greenery and good roads. One doesn’t need quick grocery delivery if they have clean air and the infrastructure to walk to the store without stray animals or fear of getting hit by the car. Or they can drive without crazy congestion and drivers coming from all directions.”

The woman further shared how true comfort included having central air conditioning, especially when dealing with extreme heat and frequent power cuts. She also appreciated the freedom to dress comfortably without worrying about unwanted attention. Apart from enjoying time with family, she found happiness in simple pleasures like morning walks, fresh air, green spaces, sunrise, sunsets and the sounds of birds rather than constant traffic noise. These points she claims made her reconsider what she sees as quality of life and luxury.

Reacting to her opinion, a user wrote, “It takes courage to voice this opinion. Civic sense is a highly under rated attribute.”

Another suggested, “Villages of India also offer you such a peaceful and healthy environment.”

“You can get such life if you move 50 kms away from any city in India,” a comment read.

Another agreeing with the post wrote, “Living in Melbourne for 15 years and temporarily moved to Mumbai and I could see the difference clearly.”

An individual shared, “Both places have their plus and minus. You usually cannot have everything in one place.”

One more added, “Great story but completely biased. India has several advantages and we can do without lectures, stories and preachings.”

Since the user shared the post on X, it has garnered over 5 lakh views.
