Xiaomi launches 'Made in India' Redmi Note Prime at Rs 8,499
The Redmi Note Prime has a Snapdragon 410 quad-core 64-bit processor with a 5.5-inch, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB storage, 3100 mAh battery and 13 megapixel camera.

Xiaomi's Redmi family in India got bigger with the launch announcement of the Redmi Note Prime. The new Note Prime will be available via Amazon.in and Mi.com at Rs 8,499. The phone will go on sale from 10 AM on December 15.

Redmi Note Prime is Chinese tech company Xiaomi's second 'Made in India' phone and is manufactured at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, in partnership with Foxconn. The first Mi phone to be made in India was the Redmi 2 Prime.

Last month Xiaomi had launched Redmi Note 3 with an improved battery, metal body, and a fingeprint scanner. The phone isn't however yet available in India.

The Redmi Note Prime has a Snapdragon 410 quad-core 64-bit processor with a 5.5-inch HD IPS display (1280x720 resolution, 267 PPI), 2 GB RAM, 16 GB board memory extendible to 32 GB via microSD, 3100 mAh battery, 4G dual SIM support, 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera.
