OpenAI has finally entered the AI search arena with the new SearchGPT prototype model that will help you with answers from relevant sources, as the company claims in its web page for the search AI version.
SearchGPT wants to combine the conversational experience of ChatGPT and give you answers sourced from the internet and other platforms. “SearchGPT will quickly and directly respond to your questions with up-to-date information from the web while giving you clear links to relevant sources,” OpenAI explains the role that its AI search model will play.
These are interesting times for the publishers who will be hoping that OpenAI and other AI companies comply with the copyright norms and not lift content to train their models without giving them the right attribution and remuneration.
OpenAI assures that SearchGPT is different from its training its AI models, and it will give publishers the room and time to investigate any issues and use the prototype to find the right balance and authority for these publishers. “In addition to launching the SearchGPT prototype, we are also launching a way for publishers to manage how they appear in SearchGPT, so publishers have more choices,” the post highlights further.
How To Try OpenAI SearchGPT Today
OpenAI is offering SearchGPT access to limited users for now because of which there is a waitlist to enter the special table. You can head over to the ChatGPT search page and sign in with your ChatGPT account to join the waitlist.
If you don’t have an account, OpenAI tells you to sign up for one, and join the waitlist to see if you get access to SearchGPT. Once you clear the waiting list, OpenAI will send you a mail giving you the ability to use and try out SearchGPT.
The company also hints that once the prototype is fully functional and offers responses that satisfy all corners of the internet, it might be integrated into ChatGPT itself.
