iOS 9 adoption rate fastest in history; 50% upgrades made within week of launch: Apple

New Delhi: Apple has announced that its latest iOS 9 software for iPhones and iPads has witnessed the fastest rate of adoption ever.

In a press release, the Cupertino, California giant notes that iOS 9 is the fastest iOS adoption ever, with more than 50 per cent of devices already using iOS 9.2.

Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, Philip Schiller, said “iOS 9 is also off to an amazing start, on pace to be downloaded by more users than any other software release in Apple’s history.”

The Apple software comes with new features and improvements, including battery enhancements, separate folder for selfies, split-screen mode for iPads, added security, and much more.

However, as per earlier reports, users faced difficulties while upgrading their devices to the newer iOS 9 initially, an issue linked to overloading of servers.
