TV actress Surbhi Jyoti’s career was launched with the hit TV show Qubool Hai, which had Karan Singh Grover play the dreamy main lead. The show had a successful run on television and the makers are aiming to replicate it in the web space now with a digital sequel, Qubool Hai 2.0.
The latest actor to join the cop universe in Indian films and OTT is Prateik Babbar, with the crime drama Chakravyuh, which promises a fast paced storyline, mind blowing action sequences and a riveting mystery. Here are more new titles you can stream this week.
Qubool Hai 2.0 (ZEE5)
Nine years after Qubool Hai launched on ZEE TV, actors Karan Singh Grover and Surbhi Jyoti are back reprising their roles, in a digital sequel. Qubool Hai 2.0 is streaming now on ZEE5, with a different story and setting than the original. Set in Belgrade, the series treats the audience to a cat-and-mouse chase drama, mystery and some thrill. In the new world, Asad is a world champion shooter, who is set to participate in an international competition, which he wins. Zoya, once again is introduced as a runaway bride, who bumps into him and turns his life upside down.
Chakravyuh (MX Player)
MX Original Series ‘Chakravyuh – An Inspector Virkar Crime Thriller’ is directed by Sajit Warrior and is an 8-episodic story of Inspector Virkar, essayed by Prateik Babbar, who stumbles upon a case of ghastly murder that seems to be linked to cybercrime. In the process of his investigation, he comes across a group of tech savvy miscreants who use the internet for blackmail & other illegal activity. Stuck in the midst of this Chakravyuh that seems unbeatable, Virkar must with the help of an informant, a hacker and a student counselor, find the missing link between both these cases. The eccentric Inspector Virkar has to race against time and embark on a mission to unmask a ruthless blackmailer using the dark web for his crimes.
