New Delhi: Politicians who were caught taking bribes on camera got a chance to stand for elections again are not the only thing that is causing a stir in the ongoing Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
Some police personnel have complained that Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav threatened them during his poll campaign in Bareilly and Rampur.
Now, taking the complaints into account, the Election Commission is examining the CD and newspaper clippings of the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's speech.
"I cannot say at the moment," Chief Electoral Officer A K Bishnoi was quoted by news agency PTI as saying, when asked whether there was anything objectionable in Yadav's speech.
Meanwhile, the Commission has also directed the district officials in the areas going to the polls tomorrow to conduct raids at places from where blank signed ration cards and other fake alternative identification documents were reportedly
found.
