Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has told his MLAs to vote against the BJP government as he does not trust the party.
Mumbai: Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde was elected to the post of Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Assembly on Wednesday. The Sena stuck to its stand of not supporting the Bharatiya Janata Party government in the trust vote till the power-sharing was resolved.
Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has told his MLAs to vote against the BJP government as he does not trust the party.
The Sena with 63 MLAs will hold the position of opposition party in Vidhan Sabha. The Congress was earlier staking claim to be the opposition party.
Earlier in the day, both Sena and Congress withdrew their candidates and BJP's Haribhau Bhagde was elected unopposed as Maharashtra speaker.
