Shatrughan leaves BJP red-faced, says no one should hurt pride of Bihar people
Without naming Prime Minister Modi, the actor-turned-politician tweeted that no party or individual should ever unintentionally hurt the pride of Bihar people.

Even as the Janata Dal United (JDU) and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) have upped the ante against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's DNA remark, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Shatrughan Sinha has left his party red-faced.

Without naming Prime Minister Modi, the actor-turned-politician tweeted that no party or individual should ever unintentionally hurt the pride of Bihar people. Sinha, however, later removed the controversial tweet.

In the run-up to the Bihar Assembly elections, Shatrughan Sinha has been making the BJP extremely nervous.

In July, Sinha met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, a known Modi baiter, and called him the guardian of Bihar.

Sinha also praised Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi for addressing the concerns of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) students, who have been protesting against the appointment of Gajendra Chauhan as the chairperson of the institute.
