Sonu Sood opts out of 'Dabangg 2'

Mumbai: Okay, the sequel to Dabangg has recorded its first casualty. A khabru tells me that Sonu Sood has opted out of the flick that will be directed by Arbaaz Khan. He felt that he’s in for a shortchange after Prakash Raj was signed to play the main antagonist in Salman Khan’s return as Chulbul Pandey. Having earned acclaim for his portrayal as Chhedi Singh in the 2010 blockbuster, it is learnt that Sonu doesn’t want to jeopardise his image by playing Prakash’s sidekick. Chalo, good for him.

No questions on John Abraham please

Hell hath no fury as a woman scorned couldn’t have been more appropriate, states a birdy that has just dropped in. Bipasha Basu was shooting a commercial for one of the brands she endorses. During the course of the Q and A, someone dared to ask her on the new girl in the life of her ex-beau, John Abraham. Bas, aur kya? Not only was the dhaansu Basu very rude, but also thundered that the person should make a quick exit. If that wasn’t bad enough, she was so mad at the query that she even threatened to not shoot any more that day. Fortunately for the crew, the team managed to pacify her and they could resume shooting, albeit after a couple of hours. Phew!

Stones for goodluck

Yeh kya Gauri Khan is wearing stones for goodluck! I thought King Khan's biwi would flaunt her solitaires and rocks on her French manicured hands. But she was spotted at Sahar airport leaving for the overseas premiere of her film, RA.One with stone rings on both hands including a red thread around the waist. Lagta hai koi astrologer ne kuch bola hai. Chalo dekhte hai what happens. SRK also wore rings and beads for a while but now he is back to wearing only his gold band.

Is it in pink?

Chalo Ameesha Patel will finally open her film production office today with David Dhawan, Maanayata Dutt and Neil Nitin Mukesh among others as guests. This is her pehla kadam towards launching her project with Dhawan as director. Known for her fascination for pink, we assume there will be lots of that hue in her cabin. Ameesha’s also said to be working on her body for Race 2 for which she starts shooting from November 5. Simultaneously, she’s also working on her look for her film with Neil Mukesh. Bahut busy hai, na?
