Rajya Sabha impasse ends, to pass six bills in last three days of Winter Session

New Delhi: Rajya Sabha is likely to pass six bills in the last three days of the Winter Session beginning on Monday.

The six bills include SC/ST(Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Bill, the Appropriation Bills, the Anti Hijacking Bill, the Atomic Energy Amendment Bill, the Commercial Courts Ordinance Bill and the Arbitration and Conciliation Amendment Bill.

The impasse ended in an all party meet called by Rajya Sabha chairman. But still there is no breakthrough on the Goods and Service Tax bill.

The Congress is adamant on at least three changes in the GST Bill to enable its passage. Almost all parties except Congress are on board with the GST Bill.
