The Foreign Minister will discuss the security of Indians in Afghanistan with President Karzai during his visit.
New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee is in Afghanistan to invite Afghan President Hamid Karzai for the 14th SAARC Summit in New Delhi in April.
But that is not the only reason for his visit. The Foreign Minister will also discuss the security of Indians in Afghanistan during his visit to the country.
He will also hold talks with Afghan Foreign Minister to review the entire gamut of bilateral relations.
Discussions will also be held on ways in which India can step up assistance in reconstruction and development of the war-ravaged country. New Delhi has just hiked its aid package from $650 million to $750 million.
