Youth killed in petty quarrel during a match

TIRUPATI: A petty quarrel over a cricket match led to the death of a youth Kesava Reddy (20), who intervened tin the quarrel. The freak incident took place at Ravurivandlapalle of PTM mandal.According to the PTM SI Rushikeshav, the match was held between Ravuirvandlapalle and Narayanapalle youth. The the former team won the match. After the match was over, Narayanapalle team captain Pratap Reddy picked up an argument with his rival team captain Prakash Reddy.He accused the winning team of cheating in the match. The victim Kesava Reddy, who was watching the quarrel, went to pacify the duo as the argument heated up. An enraged Pratap, hit Kesava on his head with the cricket bat, after which Kesava collapsed and died on the way to hospital.
