New Delhi: As everybody knows the 'Twitter happy' Prime Minister Narendra Modi engages directly with the people through Social media platforms. He has now started tweeting in all 15 major Indian languages on important things. It is making him much more accessible to the masses.
But, he forgot to tweet in Kannada wishing happy Sankranthi to the people of Karnataka. It had upset the people and they tweeted angrily complaining that the Prime Minister has forgotten them. The local media in Karnataka also ran stories about this. After he realized his mistake, the Prime Minister immediately tweeted both in Kannada and English wishing the people of Karnataka a very happy and prosperous Sankranthi.
According to sources in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), a communication gap caused the delay. Normally, Sankranthi is celebrated across Karnataka on January 14. This time, it is being celebrated on January 15. The concerned people failed to bring it to the notice of the Prime Minister. When he was told about this by his staff, he immediately tweeted.
