Pappu Yadav ventures into literary world with 'Drohkal Ka Pathik'
Yadav's book was written when he was in prison for over a decade is unsparing when it comes to crucial political events many of which according to him saw MPs being bribed.

New Delhi: It was a different discourse by 'muscleman' politician from Bihar Pappu Yadav on Wednesday as he ventured into a hitherto unknown territory of literature. Yadav's book "Drohkal Ka Pathik (One who walked in a period of rebellion)" was released by well-known critic of Hindi literature Namwar Singh in presence of acclaimed filmmaker Muzaffar Ali, bhajan singer Anup Jalota, Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh.

The former MP from Purnea and Madhepura, whose real name is Rajesh Ranjan and whose journey from one party to another in last two decades, failed to remove the muscleman tag from him, was hailed as "courageous, open hearted and one who stands for what he believes in".

Expressing solidarity with the former MP, who was recently acquitted by the Patna High Court in the murder case of the then CPI(M) Ajit Sarkar 17 years ago, Digvijay Singh chose the occasion to hit out at Narendra Modi drawing parallels of Sarkar murder case with post-Godhara riots.

He hit out at the media questioning if they are so against somebody accused in conspiracy of one murder, "then what about that conspiracy due to which thousands of people were killed in 2002... Where does the media want to take the second person who is involved in the conspiracy to kill thousands."

Yadav, who has been in Lalu Prasad's RJD, SP and Ram Vilas Paswan's LJP, is now close to Congress. His wife Ranjeeta Ranjan is already in Congress party.

Yadav's book was written when he was in prison for over a decade is unsparing when it comes to crucial political events many of which according to him saw MPs being bribed.
