New Delhi: Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy on Saturday asked a Delhi court to name Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, Raja’s relatives and his wife as accused with Raja in the 2G spectrum allocation scam case.
"I have prepared an additional application to impeach Mr Karunanidhi as co-accused along with some other accuse, whom I may name them later on. Karunanidhi is co conspirator in looting the country, Raja couldn't have done it alone," said Swamy.
In a petition filed on January 17, Swamy had sought the summoning of seven officials from agencies such as the CAG, the CBI and the Enforcement Directorate.
Sandeep Sethi appeared for CAG and filed the certified copy of the report in the Tis Hazari court.
The Comptroller and Auditor General Vinod Rai was summoned last week after a complaint by Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy, seeking the prosecution of the former Telecom Minister, A Raja, in the 2G case.
The court on Saturday issued a notice to the CBI to file a detailed report on a private complaint filed by Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy seeking prosecution of former Telecom Minister A Raja in the 2G spectrum allocation scam.
"The Judge accepted my prayer of summoning the CBI to find out from them what is the scope of there investigation. The court issued notice to the CBI to place a record of its investigations on February 22," said Swamy.
The court said it will not proceed in the matter till the next date of hearing.
Earlier, before going to the court, Swamy said, "I will ask CAG to verify if the report I have filed is their report. Then I will ask them to explain the calculation of estimated loss of Rs 1.76 lakh crore, which has become controversial. I will ask the Court to summon the CBI as witness and for Karunanidhi to be made the second accused."
