Mid-term poll nowhere visible as of now: JD(U)
Sharad Yadav said that from his view mid-term elections are nowhere visible as of now.

Lucknow: JD(U) national president and NDA convenor Sharad Yadav on Saturday said he was of the opinion that there were no possibilities of mid-term Lok Sabha polls in the immediate future.

"It is not right for me to comment on whatever he (SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav) has said... This only he can tell in detail... but from my view mid-term elections are nowhere visible as of now," Yadav told reporters here when asked to comment on Mulayam expressing the possibility of mid-term polls in the country.

He said that only the SP supremo can tell in detail how mid-term polls were possible.

Mulayam Singh Yadav, whose party SP rescued the UPA government in Parliament during crucial votes this week, had on Friday talked about the possibility of early Lok Sabha polls.

In a reply to a media query, Sharad said that the Congress, which is the largest constituent of the UPA, has suffered a big jolt after the poll results in five states.

"The party has suffered a big jolt and it will definitely make an impact on the Centre...but in what shape and at what time I cannot say, but there will definitely be an impact," he added.

On the Lokpal Bill, the JD(U) president said that the fight against corruption continues and as far as law is concerned, it would be framed only when there is a consensus on the issue.

"There are differences as of now...discussions and debate are being held on the issue of Lokpal," he said.
