Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is set to prove majority on the floor of the Assembly today. Parrikar, who stepped down as Defence Minister to shift to Goa, was sworn-in along with nine ministers on Tuesday. He has the support of 22 MLAs, two more than the halfway mark of 20 in the 40-member Assembly.
Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has won the trust vote in the 40-member Assembly with 23 MLAs backing him. One Congress MLA walked out right before the vote, bringing down the required majority mark to 20.
