Kolkata: CPI(M) will not attend the 100th administrative meet called by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as the party does not want to be part of the "false promises" made by her TMC government, opposition leader Surjya Kanti Mishra on Monday said.
"We have got an invite from the state government asking us to take part in the administrative meet, but we wonder why we were not called for the rest of the 99 meets," Mishra, the CPI(M) state secretary, told reporters in Kolkata.
"This meet is basically political rather than administrative. We do not want to be part of the false promises made by the government," he said.
"We feel this government has failed to bring in development and has ushered in misrule, so we do not want to be part of it," he added.
