The Supreme Court, earlier, pulled up the Centre for not responding 'comprehensively' on alleged coal block allocation irregularities.
Congress on Wednesday dismissed as "ridiculous" suggestions that the government was shielding anyone in the coalgate case. "We appreciate what the Supreme Court has said and we take cognisance of what the honourable court has said but to assume that we are shielding anyone is ridiculous," party spokesperson Renuka Chowdhary told reporters.
She was replying to a question on the observations of the apex court in the matter of sharing of information in the coalgate case.
The court pulled up the Centre for not responding "comprehensively" on alleged coal block allocation irregularities.
