Bajrang Dal activists tonsure man, parade him on donkey for 'converting' Hindus
The accused allegedly converted 3 Hindus to Christianity, made them eat pork and beef and also made them walk over photographs of Hindu deities.

In a bizarre incident of public shaming, Bajrang Dal activists shaved a man's head and paraded him on a donkey in Jalaun village in Uttar Pradesh over suspicions that he converted Hindus to Christianity.

The accused allegedly converted three Hindus to Christianity and made them eat pork and beef. He also allegedly made them walk over photographs of Hindu deities following the conversion.

Local police went to the village to control the situation. Police rescued the alleged conversion agent from Bajrang Dal activists and have sent him for medical treatment.

Bharatiya Janata Party has called the incident inhuman. "We need to ensure that we arrive at some kind of thinking as to how we can prevent these incidents. With regard to the police, they need to take the strongest possible action and the guilty whoever it is, has to be punished for such barbaric crimes. We all have to be sensitive about our religious practices, our faith and not do anything which causes hurt to anyone. At the same time, no one can be justified to take law into their own hands," BJP leader Nalin Kohli said.

Janata Dal (United) MP KC Tyagi also condemned the incident and claimed that the Centre is failing to control such outfits. "Organisations like Bajrang Dal have become uncontrollable after the BJP has come to power in the Centre. They are disrespecting every other religion. The Centre is also not doing anything to control them," Tyagi said.
