The right hand of the Government proposes, its left hand refuses while the middleman disposes, said Naidu.

New Delhi: Former BJP national president Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday termed the UPA Government as ''directionless'' and said ''the present regime at the Centre was being run by four prime ministers''.

‘‘The directionless UPA Government was being run by four prime ministers,'' said Naidu while addressing a convention of party workers from eight East Uttar Pradesh districts in Varanasi as part of a mega 11-city launch of the BJP campaign for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

The four Prime Ministers ''include Super PM (Sonia Gandhi), Ultra PM (Laloo Prasad), CPM (Communist Party of India-Marxist) and the least important working PM (Manmohan Singh),'' as quoted by UNI, Naidu said.

The former Union Minister further said ''another hallmark of the UPA regime is that the right hand of the Government proposes, its left hand refuses while the middle man disposes exposing clearly that the Manmohan Singh Government is directionless''.

Alleging that ''10,000 farmers have committed suicide during the stint of Manmohan Singh-led Government in power,'' Naidu said ''the maximum damage has been done to agriculture'' and charged the UPA Government with ''failing on all fronts''.

Terming the coming assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh as crucial for national politics, Naidu said ''the result of Uttarakhand and Punjab assembly polls will be repeated in UP also. The outcome of UP elections will establish a national political perspective where there will be an upward movement in BJP's fortunes, downward movement for Congress and an awkward movement for the UPA.''

''The days of UPA Government are numbered and its reverse countdown will begin after the UP elections,'' he said.
