PSEB Punjab Board 5th Result 2021: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has declared the class 5 exam results today following a virtual conference call by the chairman of the Punjab board, Yograj Sharma. The result link, however, will be activated tomorrow. Once the link is activated, the results will be available on the official website of the Punjab board, pseb.ac.in.
The exams were held from March 16 onwards, however, they were canceled mid-way due to the pandemic. A total of 3,13,712 students pass the class 5 exam. The pass percentage stands at 99.76 per cent.
As many as 98,736 students have scored A+ grade or more than 90 per cent marks. Most of the students, 1,35,622 scored between 80-90 per cent, and 58,762 students have obtained marks between 70-80 per cent and 60,671 students between 60-70 per cent. Meanwhile, 7,060 students have failed this year or have scored 32 or below.
For class 5, out of the total six subjects, four exams were held before the state went into lockdown because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The result for the exam which could not be held is calculated based on the average of the papers which were conducted.
According to the Punjab board, more than 18,000 schools affiliated with PSEB were created as exam centres. The board claims that even in schools, where only one student was appearing for exams had been converted as exam centres.
In 2020, students had obtained 100 per cent results in PSEB 5th Result as none of the exams could be held and students were given marks based on internal assesment. This year, even though the Punjab board has already announced the class 8 and 10 results based on internal assessment, for class 5 result is device based on exams held.
