MS Dhoni and Wife Sakshi Spotted Amongst Loved Ones In Ancestral Village In Uttarakhand

Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the hearts of Indian cricket fans once again during his little trip to Uttarakhand. The former Indian skipper and his wife Sakshi Dhoni recently paid a visit to their ancestral village in the Almora district. It had been over 20 years since the cricketer had last visited the place. Despite his absence for more than two decades, Dhoni and his wife were warmly welcomed by the local residents.

A glimpse of his visit has been doing some rounds on the internet in which the cricketer can be seen posing with several relatives and loved ones. The video was uploaded on X by a fan.

After visiting Nainital, MS Dhoni and his wife left for the Lwali village located in the Jaanti tehsil in the morning. Having received a traditional welcome, the cricketer and his wife paid a visit to different temples in the neighbourhood. He then met his family members and relatives before leaving the village in the afternoon.

Sakshi even uploaded a picture of them and a video of their ancestral home in Lwali on Instagram. In her caption, she wrote, “Eventful day amongst all the Dhonis! Trust me there are many here!”

It has been nearly three years since Mahendra Singh Dhoni hung up his boots from international cricketer but the former cricketer has continued to make the headlines consistently. A few months back Dhoni’s video of giving a ride to young a cricketer had gone viral.

The incident took place in his hometown in Ranchi. The video was uploaded on X by a fan who wrote, “MS Dhoni gave a lift to a young cricketer from Ranchi on his bike.” In another heartwarming interaction, MS Dhoni was spotted signing the bike of one of his fans. Making an appearance in a vintage look with his signature long hair, Mahi was seen wearing a funky t-shirt when he signed the top of the fan’s bike. That video also surfaced on platform X in which the post read, “Thala Dhoni Makes a Lucky Fan’s Day by Giving Autograph on his bike”.

Despite making the headlines with his unique fan interactions, MS Dhoni has been a major missing in the stands as India continue their historic run at the 2023 World Cup.

The cricketer has not been in attendance for any of India’s World Cup games including the highly-anticipated semi-final against New Zealand. With India already booking a spot in the final game of the tournament scheduled at the Narendra Modi Stadium, it remains to be seen if the World Cup-winning captain will grace the fans with his presence in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on November 19.
