'I Want to Spend a Bit More Time with the Army': MS Dhoni on His Plans After Retirement From Cricket
Dhoni opened up on what he wants to do after his retirement from cricket as he revealed that he wants to spend more time with the Army.

Legendary India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni shared his plans after retiring from all forms of cricket. Dhoni, who has already retired from international cricket, still plays in the Indian Premier League for Chennai Super Kings. He led the Chennai-based franchise to title triumph last year and has been retained by them for the next season.

Dhoni, who is 42 years old, underwent a knee injury after the last season of IPL, but he announced at the final he will try his best to return next season and CSK have retained him which put an end to all the speculations.

Recently at an event, Dhoni opened up on what he wants to do after his retirement from cricket as he revealed that he wants to spend more time with the Army.

“I have never thought about it. I am still playing cricket. IPL I am still playing. It will be very interesting to see what I end up doing after cricket. I think for sure, I want to spend a bit more time with the Army because last few years I have not been able to do that,” said Dhoni.

Meanwhile, Dhoni is one of the most decorated players in IPL history, playing the tournament’s final a total of 10 times with CSK while winning on five occasions.

The previous season’s final saw his side clash against then-defending champions Gujarat Titans.

While playing at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, CSK required 10 runs off two deliveries. Ravindra Jadeja provided the finishing touches hitting a six and then a four to seal a record-equalling fifth IPL crown for Chennai.

Dhoni was recently spotted in Dubai where he also met flamboyant India wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant who made his debut at the auction table for Delhi Capitals. He was one of the representatives of the side alongside Ricky Ponting, Sourav Ganguly and others.

The Auction ceremony was held for the first time outside India and Pant, who missed the last season of IPL, travelled to Dubai to attend it while Dhoni was also there but he didn’t join the CSK camp at the auction table.
